Cuisinart DSA19-18P Dishwasher Safe Hard-Anodized 2-Quart Cook and Pour Saucepan with Cover

Great Pan
This pan is so nice - The hard anodized material is of very good quality - Heavy enough to do a good job with no hot spots and even heating but light enough for easy use in the kitchen.

Great Pot!
Great pot, with ability to pour and sieve with the cover on, no dirtying of a strainer necessary when cooking vegetables, pasta, etc. Also, super non stick is really super!

Great saucepan
Bought one of these for my parents last year and they absolutely love it. I have used it a few times since over at their house and I can see why they appreciate it so much. Great finish, great lid, sturdy construction, heats evenly. I like everything about this saucepan, so much that I ended up buying one for myself!

Wall Lenk BT4601 Bella Tavola Fondue/Chafing Burner

Works like it should for what I need it for
So i bought this burner for my Yama Coffee Siphon to replace the alcohol burner it comes with. Makes the process a lot more controllable and consistant. Great product would definitely recommend.

Note that it does not come with the butane though. I ended up getting some at Walmart for $2 a refill, but they are available in the larger quantities on Amazon

Great for Fondue
The burners are great as replacements for alcohol or gel burners. They put out a huge amount of heat, so you must be careful to have enough clearance between the burner and the dish or pan. If not, the burner control will melt. They can be filled with a butane canister or the larger cans used in portable stoves. We have 8 of them and use them frequently.

Better than an alcohol burner, but burn time is short
I own three. When using for fondue or tableside cooking, I have to keep two filled, so I can swap them out. They burn for 15--25 minutes tops. Still, they easily keep a fondue pot filled with oil at 325 degrees or higher...Something alcohol burners and Sterno cannot. Appears to be built well, although the heat markings on the dial melt off after the first use, as they're applied on what looks like a crummy piece of plastic tape. For refills, use the butane canisters that work in the little butane stoves and not the tiny cans for filling lighters. Much less expensive.

Oneida 16 Quart Stock Pot

go slow cooking
This is a nice pot to cook in as long as you cook on slow heat. The bottom of the pot is not heavy duty and food will burn quickly. It is stainless steel and easy to clean. (if you don't burn the contents!) The lid top I received is different from the picture, but it's okay. The Oneida 16 qt. stainless steel stock pot is a nice addition to my cookware.

New Pot for Sunday Gravy
I've been searching for some time now for a large sauce pot that heats evenly and can stand up to years of use. This pot fits the bill and more. It not only makes a delicious Sunday gravy, but cleans up nice. In our family the sauce pots become heirloom pieces to hand down to the next generation. This Oneida is sure to last a long time. I would recommend to serious cooks who appreciate quality cookware.

Great Value
The 16qt stock pot is exactly what I was looking for. It is well built and has a very good lid.

Replacement Slow Cooker Crock Pot Round Lid for Rival 3060-W

crock pot
Great to have a new top for an old crock pot. The old one was plastic and has been cracked for years.

Slow cooker Crock Pot round replacement lid for rival crock pot
It's round and so is my crock pot but it doesn't fit that well. It's the size recommended but, I guess, it's the ceramic pot that is out of round and makes the lid not fit right all the way around. I am glad to have it, make no mistake but I wish I had been able to buy the exact type of lid that came with the crock pot, which was not available.

Le Creuset Enamel-on-Steel Zen 1-2/3-Quart Teakettle, Marseille

Great Tea kettle
I have been looking for a solid and durable tea kettle for a while and it seems I found it. It looks great too!

Best kettle ever
The shape of this kettle means the water heats to a boil quickly. And the color is gorgeous. Not a single complaint.

Drips boiling hot water everywhere when pouring
Chose this for the name and design, hoping to have it for the rest of our lives.

Drips water from the spout all down the side no matter how you pour it or how much water is in it.

Looks great and boils fast but you can tell once it's in your hands that the quality is just not there.

Many review of the whistles either not working either or fading out over time, however we don't have that issue.
The whistle assembly does look a little cockeyed though. You'd expect this from a $10 kettle, not a $60+ kettle.

Returning asap, will unfortunately not get another Le Creuset kettle.

Old Dutch Decor Turkish Coffee Pot, 7 by 4-1/4-Inch, Copper

Factory Second" means "can't be used".
This product was listed as "factory Second" since the handle rivets protruded a bit. Well I figured 'who cares-I just want to make coffee with it'. Well the rivets protrude (as stated) but liquid leaks from where the rivets punch through the pot. There is also no welding which means they never attempted to seal the rivets. So, with shipping I spent almost $50 on a briki that couldn't make coffee! The item was a present so when I received it (I assumed it worked because it looked fine) I wrapped it. By the time my friend opened it for her birthday and tried to use it - and found out it was worthless - the refund time expired. Who sells a product with no quality control measures?? If they QC'd the factory second they would have realized it leaks. They should be ashamed.

Defective product
The coffee pot leaks liquid through the holes where the handle is attached to the pot. You can't pour more water in it than where the rivets are connected or it starts leaking from outside. It's unusable unless the liquid is below that area which is useless for me. I bought only for it's size that it can be used to fill it completely. Otherwise I could have bought a smaller pot. This pot looks good at first and seems like it's well made, but during first use it let all water out the attachment. I would not recommend to buy this one.

tasty Turkish coffee
I selected this item because it was a good price and a good size. It is big enough to serve four (with small cups), and small enough (barely) to drink all by myself.
It is a beautiful ibrik, and it works well. I am very happy with it, and I am glad I bought it.

Perfect Steamer for Microwave

Weber Q 6505 Griddle with Handles

A taller lip would be so helpful.
If 2 1/2 stars were an option that is what I would give the griddle.

The biggest problem I have is the outside lip is only around 1/4 inch tall. When making eggs or other foods with a high liquid content it will spill over far too easily. I use the griddle and Weber Q220 grill mostly for tailgating at football games so perfectly flat ground is difficult to find. If the lip were a half inch or more taller than the cooking surface it would handle bacon grease, eggs, and the olive oil I use to cook with much better.

Foods that are more solid, such as french toast, pulled pork bbq, and sausage work fine on the griddle. Call it 4 stars in those situations.

The griddle is cast iron so it is heavy, but you know that going in.

Weber griddle for Q220
Very good product, porcelain-coated cast iron really holds in the heat well. The lip around the edge measures 9/16" high, with pouring spouts at all 4 corners, which were very handy. It does add some real weight to the grill, and can take another 5 minutes or so for the grill to heat up adequately, as you are adding so much more mass to heat. Made excellent french toast, bacon, eggs, and sausage for us, and nothing stuck to it at all, even my fried eggs. The handles that come with it are very handy for lifting the hot griddle off the Q. Do your research, though; there are different griddles that fit the different Weber Q sizes.

Well made; very practical; half size
Since Weber is so good at what they do I don't want to second guess them on this, but I don't understand why it is so much smaller than the grill. I've read reviews about it being small, but was unaware that it only covers 2/3 of the grill surface (front to rear). I like that it is enameled cast iron with handles and it is well made. But I had to rate it down because it only covers part of the grill. If there is an advantage to this, it may be that link sausage can be grilled at the same time that I'm frying eggs or making pancakes. Except for the size, I'm very happy with it, and with the extended usefulness it creates for the Weber Q when I'm camping.

Nordic Ware 8 Inch Cookware Lid

Good fit for my 8" Scanpan saute pan - will fit MANY 8" pans
The diameter of the inner rim that fits down into your pan is 7.625".

The diameter of the outer lip that will sit on the rim of your pan is 8.375".

This will fit a LOT of pans that have nominal measurements of 8". Knowing the exact dimensions makes it child's play to determine whether or not this will fit YOUR pan, without having to try-and-buy.

Fits my 8" Scanpan saute pan very well indeed, and Nordic Ware customer service was VERY helpful in getting me these measurements so I could make sure this lid would fit BEFORE I ordered it. Kudos to Nordic Ware, and I now have a proper lid for my 8" saute pan, instead of having to use the much smaller lid off my small sauce pan! And it is HALF the price of the official Scanpan 8" lid for my pan, so - not pricey at all. It's a fair deal.

5 stars for fit and function, and 5 stars for customer service from the manufacturer.

excellent quality
Well made, fits pan, a pleasure to use. The handle stays cool and it's easy to see the contents of the pan while cooking. Delivered earlier than expected; packed well.

Sushi Oke Wooden Hangiri Bamboo Mat Rice Paddle Set #CD-480

Great for an amateur sushi chef
I got this as a gift. I am not a sushi expert - but I have made sushi rolls maybe 50 times since I started last January, and am pleased with this hangiri as a next step. The moisture of the rice is quickly absorbed into the wood, and the rice cools within 5 minutes of turning the rice, making it more comfortable to hold if you're impatient (read: hungry!) like me and can't wait. The area is big enough to prepare the rice for 4-5 nori sheets.

The bands around the side that look like metal are actually a thick, rounded plastic. Since it gives a cheap, knock-off appearance, I knocked off a star.

You probably already have a bamboo mat at this point, but if not, just know that this mat is thin and appears weak. You'd be better off buying one at your local grocery store's sushi bar in the deli section for approx. 3 dollars.

Not brass rings
Umm so far so good, two stars off for thinking that the rings on the rice tub were brass. The mat is a bit on the small side. Other than that it is a nice unit. I paid 30 for it a while back. Twenty is a more appropriate price.

Sushi Rice
I have used this item many times now. It works great as I can take the rice right from the cooker and prepare it for my sushi. Great if you want perfect sushi rice.

Ceramic Marble Coated Cast Aluminium Non Stick Fry Pan 28cm(11 inches)

Awesome Non-Stick Pan
I am rather impressed with this pan. I also bought the 8" for smaller items. The bigger one is great for family meals. I use a glass lid I already had. Nothing sticks even with out oil but I still use a little olive oil spray anyway just for the flavor. Just be careful not to scratch the marble coating as it is quite thin.

KW marble Cookware-Unbelievable!
Started with one small egg fry pan just to see what all the noise was about on this cookware. Wow is all I could say when I got this product on the stove. Eggs were amazing, only problem was the heat was so much more direct and clean that I needed to turn it down because I burned my first scrambled egg. then after that, I got the hang of the heat this pan produces and wow, what a great pan. Eggs turn out beautiful, at lower heat settings (gas), and much more quickly. turn out beautiful white.

Needless to say, hustled out and bought three more pans to replace our worn out teflon pans that started sticking and burning foods. Again, amazing results! Old pans headed for the recycle bin! I was even able to use the larger marble surface pan as a wok because it produces higher temps to quick cook our veggies and meats to make killer chinese dishes. When you drop a few splashes of water on the marble pans to help steam veggies, you get instant results. Now, we have to buy a...

So far so good

Ball® Mixed Pickling Spice (1.8oz) (by Jarden Home Brands)

Great product, image is misleading
I use this spice for my yearly canning of pickled cucumbers and banana peppers. I know it isn't original, but it is consistent and tastes great. Be warned, however, that although the picture shows two containers, 1.8oz is just one small container of spice.

I thought I would get 2 jars, but got 1!!! buy in the grocery store, it's cheaper
I was misled by the picture thinking I would receive 2 jars of the spice, but only received 1. Need to remember to read everything. I could have bought 1 jar in the grocery store for $3.39

Great for quick pickles that have a crisp dill taste and crunchy snap to them
I have made over 20 batches of pickles to date. I have made recipes from scratch, building up each and every ingredient used to a pre-made Pickling Spice like the Ball Mixed Pickling Spice. It was quick and easy to produce some great pickles that many people around me have enjoyed. If you are looking for artisan pickles like Brooklyn Brine Company this product is not for you. This is a simple but solid spice/dill profile that is more a Pickles at my Grandma's on Saturdays as a kid and not the culinary trend going on with pickling currently. With that said, solid product - goof proof directions - great side for your next burger or just to have a sliced pickle on its own as a snack.

Ecolution Elements 2 Quart Saucepan, Green

Meets expectation
Weight feels solid, not flimsy, like some other cheap ones.
Non-stick coating is holding up fine.

This saucepan came without a lid, which is good, because I had a few usable lids from the previous ones.

price to quality ratio: very high
honestly i bought this because it seemed to be the best pot for the price, not for the green-ness but hey why not support the eco-lution.
anyway, its a great pot at a great price and cooks food well so if your looking for a single piece of kitchenware, this is a good piece to buy.

The silicone handle burns
I've used this twice - both times, the silicone handle started burning and caused a hazardous smell. The first time we couldn't pinpoint what was causing the smell but the 2nd time I caught it when the water was boiling before I added food (thank goodness). Will be returning this. Can not be good for our health to be breathing this in. Very disappointed.

Corning Visions 1.5 Quart Double Boiler with Lid Amber Cook Pot

This Stuff is Amazing!
I love Corning Visions cookware because it is very versatile. It can be used in all of the places in your kitchen - you don't need to keep using extra dishes. They can be use on the stove top, in the oven, in the microwave, in the refrigerator or in the freezer. You can cook your meals in them and actually see them cooking in without having to open a lid to check. This is great because you can see all the way to the bottom to make sure the food is cooking evenly and not burning or scorching, etc..

And this cookware is so beautiful you can serve it in them, and then put any leftovers in the refrigerator or freezer right in the pot or pan!
This is because they are not just made out of glass, but a unique glass/ceramic mixture that is highly heat resistant. You can't do that with other glassware and you can't use metal pots in the microwave or oven.

Another awesome thing about them is that since they are glassware, you don't have to worry about metallic...

Double Boiler 2 Quart Polished Stainless Steel

A terrific DB for the money
I bought this because I saw it highly praised by reviewers on another website. I use it primarily for sauces, including Hollandaise Sauce. I wasn't disappointed.

It's very well constructed, especially considering the low price. It's the right size, the clear lid is handy, it's easy to clean, and the bottom half of the boiler can be used, with the lid, as an ordinary pot.

I've used it for about three months now and it has been ideal for my sauces.

Works very well
The product worked very well for melting chocolate which is why I bought it. The temperature on the stove can be turned very far down since the design has close tolerances and does not allow hardly any steam to escape unless too much pressure is built up. The solid metal design is very sturdy. The bottom pot I used as a saucepan a few times and it worked great, but I would be hesitant to use the top one as such since it has a very thin bottom (in order to easily transfer heat for melting chocolate or heating sauces). Overall I am very pleased with the quality and price of this item.

Great everyday saucepan
Bought this because we broke the glass lid on our last one. Use the lower half saucepan (with the lid) several times a year for general use (soups etc.) and the top for seasonal sauces and chocolate.
Handle is an open tube (comfortable, easy cleaning) spot welded to pan. Bottom is multi-layered for good heat distribution. Shows some discoloration after several years of use. Top half has a flat bottom with more rounded sides that a wisk can more easily reach.

Le Creuset Heritage Stoneware 3/4-Quart Pate Terrine with Press, Cherry

Perfect for Foie Gras
My wife just gave me this terrine (I've been waiting for a proper Foie Gras terrine for years now ...), and I've just finished preparing my first foie gras in it.
The size is perfect for cooking a small / average size foie gras (the one I had was 1.4lb, which I'd consider on the bigger size to my taste, and it did fit perfectly).
I would not recommend cooking 2 foie gras at the same time in this terrine though.
It looks great, and, to my surprise comes with a press (I know the description mentions it, but as a "gift" I had only seen the picture), which is great if you want to make your foie gras look more "professional".
The recipe which comes with it seems more than half decent, however I'd recommend a lower temperature for cooking it (max 185F), and rather than leaving your foie in the oven for a set period of time, simply monitor it. If your foie is really fresh and you want it on the less cooked side of thing, you can stop the cooking as soon as you start...

Not Broken
I agree with the reviewer who mentions that the packaging is poor, and I can see how the handles *could* break in transit, but mine didn't. The box arrived with many "fragile" stickers and the terrine intact. This is really a foie gras terrine, but it is also suitable for a pate terrine. At a .75 (or so) qt capacity, you will likely need to use half a recipe for a pate, but that is a good size for my family. The press is nice but not heavy enough for many terrine uses, yet there is no reason you can't just put a can of green beans or something on top of the press to increase the weight.

The terrine itself is absolutely beautiful (I got the flame one), and even though it is stoneware, it matches Le Creu pots and pans perfectly. It would be a beautiful vessel for serving a terrine at the table if you prefer, and I am really, really glad I bought this. The price is a steal.

Sturdy and perfect for home use
Used to using the larger, standard terrines in professional kitchens, I knew I'd rarely ever use one that large at home. This is the perfect size. This can be used for anything from terrines to pates to rillets or anything else. It's small enough to even use for spreads or sauces with large groups. Plus it just looks fantastic. The terrine weight is helpful, but like the other reviewer said, it may sometimes need some extra weight on top. Because it is thick and durable, it will hold up well to various temperature extremes (like baking pates or chilling terrines).

Progressive International 6.75 Inch Bamboo Steamer Baskets

Nice little steamer
This is perfect for one or two people. You can put a decent-sized serving in each of the two layers, and the food comes out nicely steamed. If you're cooking for a family, go with a larger steamer.

Individual sized bamboo steamer
Exactly what I was looking for.... Bamboo steamers for individual use are hard to come by. I needed one that fit on top of the pan I use for boiling water. I had tried several Kitchen Supply Shops without success. I was so pleased when I found it on line.

Excellent Quality, but make sure that it doesn't get wet.
These bamboo steamer baskets work extremely well. They are perfect size if you are steaming a portion for just yourself. Although, I had forgotten that bamboo can get moldy if it gets wet. I had washed the steamer baskets a couple of times after usage and the started to become moldy and smell unpleasant. I would DEFINITELY recommend buying these steamer baskets, but do NOT wash them.

Scanpan Professional 2-Quart Covered Saucepan

developed a chip inside after two years. Company non-responsive
I bought his pan because the interior was supposed to be really durable, even allowing the use of metal implements if you wished. While I've never done that, i still have a chip on the inside after two years of use. Writing to the company has resulted in silence. Other than that, it cooks well. Not worth the price, however, if manufacturer does not stand behind their warranty...

Scanpan Professional 3-Quart Covered Saucepan
Excellent pan! Love to cook my meat pasta sauce in this. I sautee the onions/garlic/peppers first, then set them aside. Next, I brown the ground beef, drain, and put everything back in the pot along with some spices. Add crushed tomatoes and simmer for a couple of hours. Put the pot in the fridge and enjoy the leftover sauce the next day after rewarming on the gas burner. Cleanup is easy with warm running water and a nylon bristle brush, paper towel dry. The little handle mitt is a nice touch. The handle on the lid gets very hot, and a mitt for that would have been nice. I also would much prefer GLASS lids, so I can see what I am doing. In fact, I often use a glass lid from a matching-diameter pot in my collection. In the description you find "Scanpan Professional pans are safe for any burner type, including induction ..." Please take CAUTION with the "induction" word, as these pots do NOT work by themselves with my Duxtop 8100MC induction burner. You would need the Max Burton...

scanpan is great
I purchased this for my daughter for Christmas and I know she will love it because she loves coming home and cooking with mine. Scanpan is as advertised, nothing sticks. I've had scanpan skillets for several years and they haven't chipped or scratched and they are still non stick. I will never own another non stick brand. Pricey but worth as they last for years.

Fagor 4-Piece 8-Quart Multipot

Does NOT work with Induction!!!
The box it comes in says "compatible with induction cooking." The bottom of the pot says it will work on induction cooktops.

But it WILL NOT.

If you take a magnet to the bottom of the pot (the way one checks if cookware is induction-compatible) it DOES NOT STICK to the bottom of the multipot.

Thus, this pot is useless for induction owners.

Good quality pot
After serious considerations, I decided to purchase Fagor. This is a good quality multipot and served my purpose well. It heats up fast and feels solid. The missing star is due to the design of the lid handle, as previously reviewed by another user. It does get hot and could slip. But I can work around it. After all, it's a good product for its price.

Excellent Value!
It appears that the pasta insert is deep enough to be covered with approximately 4-quarts of water. That is plenty for a large family pasta feast. The reason I rated this 4-stars rather than 5 is that I normally cook thin spaghetti and where I would prefer a 2" solid band around the bottom of the pasta insert (to butt the dry pasta against), there are more draining holes. This means some of the pasta will try to escape through the draining holes, especially if you follow the Fagor cooking directions and place the insert already loaded with dry pasta into the boiling water.

This Chinese manufactured pan was deeply embossed on the underside and indicated the pan may be used for induction cooking. At $21.95, I am going to order several more as (super economy sized) stocking stuffers! :o)

All-Clad Stainless 9-Piece Cookware Set with Nonstick Fry Pan

All Clad cookware, best on the market
I have used All-Clad since the early 1980's and consider it the very best, and best for the money, too, as it lasts forever, the company will simply replace any that you complain about (the LTD black surface wore off some after 15 years, which is why I switched to the stainless steel outside and inside and some copper outside versions (Copper Chef, by All-Clad Co.) and they sent a new one!). I have boiled over milk on high and it never scorched! The bottom of the pan was not even tan, much less any burned milk! That was a first for any pan for me! The Olympic Cooking Team uses these pans, by the way. And they look good on a rack, too.

Very sturdy, top notch cookware
I am very pleased with my set of All-Clad stainless cookware. The construction is superior to any other set I have ever owned. One of the nice things about the cookware is how cool the handles stay after being on the burner for an extended period of time. I was really surprised by that. I figured that since the handles were stainless steel they would get really hot but that is not the case. I have also found that the cookware heats up much more evenly than my old cookware. That really does help to reduce cooking time. While it may seem a bit pricey, this set should last many years if taken care of. My Mom always told me to buy the best quality item that I could and it will save money in the long run. She was right.....as usual. :-) If you love to cook you will enjoy this set.

Amazing, but watch out, it's addicting!
In light of recurring news articles discussing the carcinogenic potential of Teflon, my husband and I decided to replace our current cookware. The set we had was in good shape minus a few scratches here and there. If you pay attention, however, these "minor scratches" honestly translate to a metallic aftertaste in the food, especially with boiled foods.

Anyway, after a long and hard discussion, we decided to purchase this set, specifically with the nonstick pan, since we'd be doing a lot of pan-frying. I have absolutely no complaints about this cookware. It is beautiful, sturdy, elegant, and is truly the way to go for healthy, gourmet cooking. It is expensive, but as other reviews have stated, it lasts the long haul.

The only thing is, now that we have the starter set, I've been eyeing other pieces to add to my collection. It's hard to resist. I am addicted to All-Clad!!!

All Clad 421349 Stainless Steel 3-Ply Bonded Dishwasher Safe 3-Quart Cassoulet with Lid Cookware, Silver

Actual usable dimensions
The usable dimensions of this pot are actually 3.5" deep by 8.25" across, much smaller than listed in the description or the "Product Dimensions" sections.

I use it all the time
This is basically the same pan as the 3-quart saucier, for less money and with more convenient handles. I love it. It's my basic stir fry/saute dish. The high sides keep food, especially greens, from flying all over the place. A perfect pan for someone like myself who doesn't tend to be cooking huge amounts of stuff. Good for baking as well.

Nice enough to serve from
Another example of All Clad's outstanding quality. I have used this for different rice dishes so far with excellent results. If only doing white rice, 2 cups raw plus the water is about maximum capacity of this pan. No scorching experienced.
"Skillet dinners" or veggies --probably holds 4 servings. I plan to use this a lot cooking for less people now.
I like the side handles--just set the hot pan on a trivet or into a basket, and bring to the table.
They should have named this "small everything pan", in my opinion.

All Clad Stainless Steel 14-Inch Open Stir Fry Pan

Stainless Steel Pan
Love this pan, very versatile ... have to clean with stainless steel cleaner to get it spotless, but it is worth the extra effort. No more non-stick pans for me.

allclad wok
LOVE IT !!!! all that I thought it would be and then some. Making stir-fry at home is easy now.

great quality but maybe a bit too heavy
its a great pot/pan but a bit too heavy to lift if you like to toss, shake and flip the contents while stir frying food (think how they stir fry in chinese restaurants)
the 10 inch version is light enough that lifting it is not quite as burdensome.

George Foreman GRP99 Next Generation Grill with Removable Plates, Silver Metallic Finish

Beware of Dishwasher safe!! It isnt that great!
I got this based on the fact that you can put the grill plates in the dishwasher, HOWEVER, beware, they oxidize in the dishwasher. Meaning the back of the cooking plates, turn blak and wipe off on your towels, hands, ect. I called the manufactor and said this is normal, and i shouldnt wash them in the dishwaher very often. So much for convience!

Other than that problem, it cooks awesome! I loved the temp control and timer. Great Features!! Plus it held 6 burgers!

I would buy this again, but would never put it my dishwasher.

I will always wash by hand.

A staple on the countertop. Love the next gen Foreman!
We recieved this as a wedding present a back in August. This unit was actually diffrent than the one we had on our registry but WOW we love this one. The washable grill plates are really cool and easy to clean. I will say we dont wash them in the dishwasher much. But to remove the plates and take them to sink to clean is super convienent vs. hauling the whole unit to the sink and trying not to get it too wet or cleaning it on the counter with a washcloth or papertowels. I HIGHly recommend getting the removeable plates. They sell replacement plates online which is great. My previous Foremans would always wear the nonsticks first but this unit you can replace them.

Keep the reciept on it as well. I have had 0 electrical problems with any of mine but I have read some have. The quality of this foreman is VERY GOOD except the buttons feel a little cheapish (but better than most)some of the lesser models are not so well built.

Not what expected
We had an older George Foreman grill, which served well for over 3 years.

We decided to buy a new model for easier cleaning.
Dissapointed from day one, slow heating, uneven grilling,
poor tasting meat and fish, burned in (I assume plastic) cover.

Was lazy to pack and ship back to Amazon, 4-5 months ago when
purchased. Will ship into trash bin now.

Bialetti Aeternum Easy Non Stick 10" Saute Pan in Purple Passion

I really like it! I will give you some tips
I bought it at my local groceries store. I had the aeternum red pans I got at bbb and really liked them but I like the purple color more. It cooks fast and clean up is a breeze! I don't put it in the dishwasher because the detergents are so so abrasive. After coking let it cool down and wash it by hand, it is amazing, just one sweep and its clean. For heavier cooking fill it w water and let it seat for a while. Keep in mind ALL aluminum metal pans warps if submitted to drastic temperature changes, so use water according to pan temp to soak it.Don't use metals utensils to cook on it, use plastic or wood.
I read one review mentioning bialetti having a good reputation in italy.(?)
When storing it, don't stack one on top of other. Use a pan rack or like me I kept and cut the piece of carton that wrapped it' creating a protecting liner between the ceramic pans I have.
if you are a rough cooker and your teflon is all scratch up, maybe you don't have the extra 1.5 minutes it...

Great Non-stick pan
We choose this pan to go with a similar 12" pan we had. It works great. Never needs oil, except for flavoring and nothing sticks to it. Be sure not to use any metal utensils in it as they will scratch the finish.,

Staub Mini Frying Pan, 4oz, 4 _ ", Black Matte

Two perfect eggs.
I own three of these mini pans. I own two 9" inch and two 11" Staub skillets as well. Overall, I own 23+ pieces by Staub. I own Le Creuset and I sell and own Vollrath commercial nonstick cookware for a living and I cook. Staub's greatest strength is browning meat and sauteing vegetables. Eggs are tricky in these pans but worth it if you know how to use them.
The Caveat: You must understand how these pans take heat and break them in with a proper seasoning, not curing, before using on a daily basis, especially if you want to do eggs. These pans should be in every home simply for what they represent in quality and performance.
I"m going to set forth the proper way to season and clean pans because I've never found one person who gets it right. I know, you want my credentials. I learned the proper way to season pans and clean pans on the job cooking 10 hours a day 10 days in a row, 25 weeks a year. The mindless repetition of my job taught me how pans take heat and how to...

Tamago Non-Stick Pan, Japanese Sushi Omelette rectangle skillet

Its stick pan
I'm VERY REGRET that i got this pan.
Egg sticks very badly and doesn't come out. Nobody can make TAMAGO YAKI with pan.
I usually don't have any problem making TAMAGO YAKI, but with this pan, impossible.
It looks like regular Japanese TAMAGO YAKI pan, but it is just the shape.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYBODY TO BUY THIS.

Japanese skillet
It took me awhile to find this product and purchased it. I am glad I did because it performed excellent. I could make all kinds of omelets in the pan and it was personal siz as well. Easy to clean up as it was teflon finish

Chef's Secret 15-Piece Element Stainless-Steel Cookware Set

Some Good, Some Bad
First off I wanted to say that I have had these pans for a few months. I had an initial reaction to them and I wanted to make sure I felt the same a few months later before providing a review. Here's my opinions:

THE GOOD - The pans are VERY heavy and as such do an excellent job of heat retention and transmission. They are beautiful and heat through/cook very evenly. Easy to clean, even when things stick (see the bad).

THE BAD - I have a lot of problems with things sticking to these pans. I find that as soon as the knob on my stove hits Medium, it's like turning on a "please stick to the pan" switch somewhere. Even cooking with no-stick sprays and oil doesn't prevent this.....at least not in my experience.

THE CONCLUSION - I love the heat distribution on these pans and I think they cook very well, but the sticking issue really puts a bit of a damper on my feelings for them. I have since purchased 3 individual non-stick pans for use when I know...

Cookware
I love this cookware! I have always used "no stick" cookware and every year I seem to replace it no matter how expensive it is. I realized that all the major cooking channel chefs use stainless steel cookware so I decided to try it. I will never go back to the no stick cookware. This is nice and heavy and if something happens to stick on it I just heat a little water in it and it comes right off. This is a great buy for the money.

great made cookware at a reasonable price
The cookware purchased was to be used everyday in our home, and we really use it. With a family of seven the cookware is used several times a day with everyone cooking at different times. The cookware we were used to using was from pampered chef, and let me say that I thought it was good until the coating started to come off in our food. While shopping for cookware, we went to the county fair and watched a presentation on health craft cookware. This cookware seem to be the best for waterless cookware until they revealed the price at the end of the demonstration. Who in the hell has 3500.00 to spend on a set of cookware, I sure don't. The cookware set we found on amazon has been wonderful. I would recommend this set to anyone who is looking for a great set of cookware. The only problem I have with it is, it's not made in the U.S.A.

Norpro Whistling Teakettle, Red

BEAUTIFUL Whistling Tea Kettle - That WHISPERS
Of all the whistling Tea Pots Amazon has, I think this is the nicest, classiest looking pot they have. This is a sturdy well made stainless steel pot. I did not plan on spending this much on a tea pot, I very easily could have bought a fairly nice one for half the price. But I could not resist, it looked so nice and I thought my wife would like it since she is the tea drinker.

Unfortunately for me there where no reviews written on it. So I just took a shot in the dark and bought it. " Bad Move "
My first problem was my Whistling Tea Pot barely whistled, it was more like a low whisper. I could hear it if I was in the kitchen five or ten feet away. If I went much further than that or another room, I could barley hear it at all. If there was a radio or TV on forget hearing it completely . After all that's what people buy Whistling Tea Kettles for, to hear when you are away from the kitchen. Certainly for not hearing it when you are standing right there.

Next...

Quite good for the money
I don't agree that this tea pot isn't a good one. It's quite good for the money. It's certainly better than the last couple of tea pots I've purchased, and certainly would hard to beat for twice the money. I have no problems hearing the whistle in the next room. If you have a large home or are listening to music in the next room, you might not hear it. Okay, it doesn't have a screamingly obnoxious whistle, but you know, I kind of like that about it.

I agree that the lid gets more than just warm, but I wouldn't have characterized the temperature as capable of creating burns. I don't need to use a mitten to take the lid off, but I suppose some people might prefer to wear one. But burns? No. The handle warms up a bit after a long time on the stove, but stays cooler than the last couple of kettles I've had. All in all, the best kettle I have purchased in this price range (and no, I am not a Norpro employee). I'd buy another, and in fact, plan to buy a couple as gifts...

What a great tea kettle!
I just purchased the Norpro tea kettle recently and when I received it I said "wow." It is a shiny red color and looks great in my kitchen. The tea kettle that I had before whistled so loud that I left the spout open when I boiled the water. One day I forgot it and it boiled all the water out and burn up my tea kettle. Well, this tea kettle makes a whistle sound just enough to know the water is ready. It is wonderful.

Winco Dial Freezer/Refrigerator Thermometer, 2 inch -- 1 each.

Great Thermometer
This review is for the Winco 2" Freeze and Refrigerator Thermometer purchased through Amazon.com. We purchased three of these to use in the refrigerators in our church as required by the county health department. They seem to be accurate and are fairly easy to read. Since our refrigerator shelves are glass, they tend to get pushed around by food items items. We will most likely use some mounting tape to stick them to the back or side wall instead. They are a good product at a very reasonable price.

Helped Me To Set The Right Temperature
Nobody knows, unless they have a thermometer, what the temperature of their refrigerator and freezer are.

I found that my freezer needed to be colder to be at the optimum temperature. I already knew that my refrigerator was too cold as it was freezing my cucumbers. :p

I got two of these: One for the freezer and one for the refrigerator. My ice cream is now hard and my cucumbers are not turning into Popsicles anymore. :)

Buy a thermometer; get a thermometer!
Solid thermo with easy-to-read temperature makings that cover the critical temperature range. What pleased me most about this little guy is the solid and wide base. No more accidental jostles sending it to the back of the fridge!

Rogar International Hanging Bar Pot Rack

Handles Weight!
I have several very heavy brass, iron and copper pans and pots. I needed a pot rack and hooks that wouldn't cave in under all the weight (one pan alone weights 11 pounds). Because we didn't know how we were going to incorporate a pot rack in the new kitchen, I researched all types for a year before deciding on two of the 36" Rogar Hanging Bar Racks in hammered copper (pretty).

I am totally pleased with them. I love that the hooks face sideways to accomodate the direction I wanted the pots to face. While the hooks do slide a little when I am removing a pot, I think that is more because I am short and have to push a pot up in order to get the handle off the hook. It is not enough to be a problem. I also like that even though I do have to push a pot up, because of their design, the hooks can not fall off the bar.

Don't let the simple design fool you - this is a great pot rack that I think would fit in any style and size kitchen. It is well made, able to take...

LOVE THIS!
I had been wanting a small pot rack for my tiny kitchen forever, and when I saw this on another site, I knew it would work. I was happy to find it for less on Amazon and have REALLY enjoyed it! It keeps my kitchen organised and pots in place and is compact too. I did need someone who knew what they were doing to install it, because I wanted to be sure it was in the correct spot/attached to beams, etc. But it took about thirty seconds, literally, to get it leveled and hung.

Completely Satisfied
We are very happy with this rack. The bar is very heavy and that's a good thing. It easily supports our 5 ply stainless steel pots. I was afraid the copper finish would be too bright, but just as the picture shows, the bar itself has a dull, distressed copper look to it. The chains and hooks are bright copper. It's a nice balance and doesn't "overpower" our kitchen. Also, it's easy to clean.

Norpro KRONA Stainless Steel 12 Cup Multi Pot with Lid

A decent pot, but prefer the 8-Cup
I love my Krona 8-Cup Multi Pot, which I use everyday and have sitting on the top of my stove all the time, so I was excited to see the Multipot offered in a larger size.

The design and look is essentially the same as the 8-Cup Multi Pot and lid. The 8-Cup is approx. 5" high and 5 1/2" diameter, the 12-Cup is approx. 6" high and 6 1/2" diameter. Though it functions well enough, I find the design of the Multipot is better suited to the smaller 8-Cup size. It is more difficult to really balance the pot with the one handle while transferring to different locations when the 12-Cup pot is filled to the brim because of the weight (4 cups can make a huge difference when lifting with one hand) and added width. I am constantly in fear that while I grapple with the one handle, the pot is going to tip to either side and spill everything - I would rather use my regular larger pots with two handles (one on each...

Krona 12 cup pot
I bought this pot bec I LOVE the smaller version. But not only is this bigger version unstable and somewhat unwieldly but it fell apart. When I was taking it out of the frig...it was full of chicken soup....the handle came off! The pot fell to the floor splashing everywhere! I spent the whole afternoon....hours....cleaning up the mess...cabinets, frig, floor, me, the cat, etc....you get the picture! I felt lucky that it didn't do any damage to me (or the cat...whom it probably would've killed!), ie, break my foot and break any of the tiles on my floor! I do NOT recommend buying this pot!

If only Al Clad made this shape pot.
Handy size pot, and was great for the first year or so. I have 2, one of each size, and they BOTH warped on the bottom and are unusable now. Pretty expensive for a disposable pot.

Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron 6-1/3-Inch Skillet with Iron Handle, Cherry

A few tips when using these skillets
It's important what kind of fat/oil you use when cooking eggs in this pan!

I also had a bad experience cooking eggs in this pan when I first got it. What I found is that you need to use low heat and butter (or butter like substitute). Its possible other oils might work, but I've had nothing but success when I use low/medium heat, a pat of butter and two eggs in the pan. They come out great every time now! I ended up buying the 10 and 11 3/4 inch pans :).

So here's a few handy tips:

1) Use low/medium heat
2) Wait for the pan to heat up (watch your oil to get an idea of when to put your food in)
3) Use the right fat/oils for the type of food you are cooking

Hope this helps others.

Another Excellent Product from Le Creuset!
I have purchased quite a few products from both Le Creuset and Lodge and this one definitely serves a purpose. I came from a large family and was used to cooking in very large quantities so at one time I probably would have assumed this skillet had no place in a decent kitchen. How wrong I would have been. As already stated by others, it's perfect for sauteing garlic, onion, butter, small amounts of vegetables, or for cooking individual personal omelettes or one or two eggs. It's easy to use and very easy to clean. Heat is distributed evenly so food cooks well regardless of where it is in the skillet. One thing I cook regularly is an egg white omelette. It's quick and easy to make, slides out of the pan onto my plate, and once the pan cools, clean up is a breeze.

One reviewer noted that she finds this pan to be stickier than regular cast iron. I was surprised to hear that was someone's experience. I own all different types of cast iron products and the plain cast iron is...

big review reader
I read tons and tons of reviews. I don't write as many as I should. This pan is a solid well performing pan except for the reason I bought it. I bought it to replace a nonstick skillet I use to cook eggs. I really want to find a safe alternative to the traditional nonstick (toxic at high temps) surface. I love Le Creuset except the eggs stick even using oil and all the other ideas here in the reviews. I hate cleaning it too. I have 2 small children and the time it takes to clean/soak this pan after an egg breakie my 2 year will dismantle the coffee maker. So I will use this pan but not for eggs.

Emile Henry Large 3.5 Quart Oval Au Gratin, Azure Blue

Wonderful au gratin dish
I have a few Emile Henry products and my favorite ones have the interior white celadon finish. This surface doesn't get scratched up the way the other Emile Henry same color exterior/interior finishes do. This high gloss finish also makes baked on food slide right off for easy cleanup. It's a great size at 16 x 10 x 2.5 and can hold about 3 quarts. It has ears on either end for transporting from oven to table and it's lead and cadmium free stoneware. It's a great product.

Great product on after 1 return
I would have given this 5 stars if it hadn't taken 2 tries to get a satisfactory piece. I love Emile Henry (see review for other piece)but was very surprised at the difficulty of getting a piece that isn't defective. The first one in this size was defective, but the second was in perfect condition. This piece in figue came from [...]. I had tried to get one in the same color in the 8.5" size, but gave up after 2 defective pieces arrived (from Amazon). I asked for a refund. I will probably try to get more in other sizes when I have the time to deal with defective ones.

Fabulous Roaster and Baking Dish
This baby has rapidly become my favorite baking/roasting dish. I can cook the whole meal in it and serve directly from the oven in the same dish that I baked in! Emile Henry makes great baking bowl and roasters and this is a very handy item in the kitchen! It is also beautiful!

West Bend 86604 Programmable Steamer

works fine but difficult to handle
It works fine but if I had seen the way it is shaped before buying, I would not have bought it. The 3 parts have rings that need to be fitted under them, otherwise they will collapse into each other. However, you have to take off such a ring to fit a part into the lower body or to put a cover on it. I cannot even explain this right, it is just too complicated of a system. The result is that you keep putting in and taking out these rings. When you are cooking and it is hot, this is not only unwieldy, but you can risk a burn too.

unfortunate
sadly this great looking and seemingly great functional, 3 tier steamer was a disappointment. within 3 weeks of purchase the sensor went out, saying it needed water at all times and ceased to operate. calls to west bend were lead to calls to amazon who said to return it to a target brick and mortar store. i showed up there with it they thought i was nuts, they don't even carry steamers of any kind and send me out the door tail between the legs.

in the end it was much simpler to send it to the recycling bin and purchase a new one, obviously not a west bend. also the buttons were applied upside down and with the words / graphics in reverse. that call to west bend was also a waste of time. the time spent to resolve the matter, i would have earned enough to have purchased 3 or 4 of them over.

ridiculous? made in the US? sigh.

Great product
Great product. Will steam cook 6 nice sized potatoes in about 45 minutes. The squash we did had such a much better flavor compared to microwaving it, and it was cooked very uniformly. Would higjly recomend this steamer.

6pc Silicone Egg Rings

Turn inside out to change shape
When you turn the oval ring inside out, you'll get a circle, and the square will change to flower shape. Very good quality silicone rings, perfect for eggs and pancakes.

Fun with eggs
Having had wonderful results with 4-inch silicone rubber rings for making pancakes on our trusty Presto foldaway electric griddle, we were eager to use smaller diameter rings for frying eggs. We really wanted circular rings, but our surprise package delivered three square rings (3" x 3") and three oval rings (3" x 3-1/2") which may have been circular until they were permanently deformed by the packaging.

Our pancake rings have metal arms for lifting them when hot. The egg rings have little integrally molded ears for easy manipulation and cleaning. This difference and the smaller size makes the egg rings so light in weight that they tend to float off the griddle when you gently release the raw egg into the ring, permitting some of the egg to leak out from the ring (not a pretty sight). Once aware of this problem, one soon learns to use a small utensil to press the ring down on the cooking surface for a few seconds until the egg white begins to solidify.

Though the...

egg rings
I have had these a few weeks now and they work just fine. I put just a bit of cooking oil in the skillet and then rub a bit on the inside of the ring to stop any tentency to stick. There is no hard stick at all but the egg will cling to the silicone just a little. These are light so it is good to have the skillet hot enough that the egg will start to firm up rather than try to run out under the bottom of the ring. Glad I bought them and would do so again.
