Wouldn't buy it again
This tea kettle is beautiful(or at least it was), but you have to go through a difficult process involving strong chemicals to remove the finish, if you actually want to use it and not just keep it as a decoration. Unfortunately, the handle didn't come off as easily as the directions implied and it got scratched. Eventually we decided to just leave the handle on and remove the lacquer from the kettle, but it also removed some of the black finish off the handle as well (turns out the handle is not iron as it appears in the picture). Now the kettle looks pretty bad and we are terribly dissapointed. I would not buy this product unless you were only using it for decoration.
Sorry teakettle
I am so angry at this copper teakettle. It took an act of congress to get the crud off the outside of the pot in order to use it. The handle did not come off as stated, so the handle and the wooden top are different colors. I was able to use the teakettle one time. The next time, I had water everywhere on my stove as the bottom of the spout leaked. Needless to say, I want my money back and will definitely be shipping this item back.
Piece of crap
I bought this beautiful teapot for my Mother, and it started leaking at the spout immediatly. The spout has now completely fallen off. I would not recommend this item to anyone!
