Anolon 5-Quart 11-Inch Sauteuse with Glass Lid

loved in beginning, not now!
I have about 5 pans of this model, different sizes. They work just fine in the beginning but after they are used for awhile the non stick properties just disappear and they are all just another pan. I have followed their directions, no oil, no spray, plastic spatulas. Didn't make a difference.

At least they are heavy pans but now have to use the oil a lot to keep the meat or whatever from sticking to the bottom.

Analon Fan - except for the 11" sauteuse
My wife And I have used analon since we were married 9 years ago - I still have the original set - esp the work horse 2 and 3 qt pots. But we have gone thru three 11" raised side skillets / sauteuses ( all add ons). This pan is great for everything, everyday - but after a year the middle starts to get sticky - no peal of the teflon like the cheap sets, but eventually things stick too much, despite lubrication. We have tried to follow all the rules, but to no avail.

For $19, it may still be worth it, but expect it to wear out. I also wonder if it has to do with these "great deal" amazon ones (100 down to 19) as 2 of the ones that died for us were bought cheap thru amazon ???????

Best pan I've purchased in a long time
I absolutely love this pan. Have had it a bit over two months. I purchased this and the Calphalon pan that's always in the Top 10 in Kitchen and Housewares and this one was far, far, far, far, far, far better than the Calphalon pan. It's a very heavy duty pan and is very durable, not to mention very easy to clean. I make a lot of tomato-based sauces and soups, and this is the perfect size for my family. I've never had anything stick to it (I use it every day, sometimes twice). I cooked a chicken dish in it that normally sticks and it cooked perfectly in this one. No sticking, no overcooked pieces anywhere. I was impressed. (I first cooked this dish in the Calphalon pan I mentioned before and it absolutely ruined it.)

The glass lid is, well, a glass lid. Fits like it's supposed to. I can see through it. Can't complain with that.

I'll admit that when it arrived, it wasn't what I expected, but boy am I glad I purchased it. This pan is worth every penny.
