Adcraft FW-1200W Commercial Food Warmer Portable Steam Table

Pans may not fit
This food warmer is at least 1/4 inch wider than my other 3 warmers. A quarter inch doesn't sound like much but over half my pans fall in especially when filled. I called the company and emailed them pictures twice. After looking at the pictures of the pans not fitting [which fit in all the warmers I had for the last 20 years] they responded that they SHOULD fit.

I also bought it for the light. One of our warmers didn't have a light which made it easier to leave on by mistake. This one has a light but stays on whenever it's plugged in, even when turned off. It defeats half the purpose of the light.

I suggest buying the APW Wyott Food Warmer.

unit stopped working after 1 month of use.
I bought this unit back in early November and it abruptly stopped working. I'm going to attempt to call Adcraft who will hopefully warranty the item. I'll report back if anything changes.

using as sous vide water bath UPDATE
UPDATE: I have been using this gizmo non-stop for sous-vide cooking since the prior review about 7 months ago without any problems whatsoever. It is big enough that I can do fourteen vacpacced steaks at a time or 28 chicken legs that are double packed and vaced, for example. Just a rock-solid product for my purpose. I have increased to five stars to reflect this solid performance.

good quality, lots of power to heat 4.5 gallons of warm water to 130 in 30 to 45 minutes. the SVM 1500D controller works well with it. It is slightly more shallow than I would have wished, but this hasn't proven to be too big a problem as the bath is so large on width and depth. I've cooked three large roasts at once without undue crowding, but the bags must lay flat, not stand on edge. a 1/2 sheet pan fits well as partial cover leaving room for sensor wires at one end.
